BUSINESSES
The Blueprint Initiative and Craftercise have developed ‘Dance with a Difference’- a holistic program where children will develop their confidence whilst learning and performing choreography and mindfulness practice. The program has been designed for inclusivity and fun and is appropriate for anybody who wants to learn to dance and move their body in a safe and welcoming environment.
COMMUNITY
'The Knight' Fundraiser
In 2017, The Blueprint Initiative and Easey’s worked in partnership to create a fundraising event called, The Knight. The event was designed to bring awareness to mental health and the importance of a mental health support network. On the night, guests were treated to keynote presentations by Adrian Parisi, Australian professional basketball player and WNBA star, Liz Cambage, one half of the award winning African Australian hip hop duo, Diafrix, Mohamed (Momo) Komba and Victoria Police’s Chris McGeachan.
100% of the ticket price was donated to the Collingwood Knight Reclink Football Club; a team that provides a support network for those in need. The event was a huge success and The Blueprint Initiative have plans to work alongside the very generous Jimmy Hurlston and the team from Easey’s again in the near future. Watch this space!
'More Than a Question' Fundraiser
Following the success of 'The Knight', The Blueprint Initiative continued their partnership with the team at Easey's to host 'More Than a Question' at The Emerson Hotel in 2019. 'More Than a Question' was held during Mental Health Week, to once again, bring awareness to the various ways that mental health can impact our day to day lives.
Adrian Parisi's keynote address focused on the ways in which anxiety and depression have impacted his life. The night then consisted of a Q&A forum with guest speakers; Musician- Dan Sultan, News Presenter- Emily Angwin, Gin Guru- Jeremy Spencer and Founder and CEO of Easey's- Jimmy Hurlston. Each guest speaker shared an insight into their own mental health journeys and provided a very intimate and personable experience for guests.
